Endovascular Treatment for CTO of External Iliac into Common Femoral – July 2022

Case & Plan:
83-year-old female with a PMHx of HTN, HLD, recent MI (03/05/22), CAD s/p multiple PCIs, occasional smoker (former heavy smoker), and known PAD with occluded fem-fem bypass s/p multiple PTAs last on 05/27/22 to Rt External iliac artery (9.0X135 Absolute Pro) who presents w/ bilateral lower extremity lifestyle limiting claudication L>R; ET < 1/2 block. (Rutherford Grade 1, Category 3). Despite maximal tolerated medical therapy, exercise therapy and recent Iliac intervention, persistent lifestyle limiting claudication. Planned for endovascular treatment for long segment CTO of external iliac into common femoral.
