Endovascular Management of Symptomatic Stenosis of the Thoracic Aorta – February 2022

Case and Plan:
55 year-old male with PMH of HTN, cardiomyopathy 45% presented for LHC that revealed non obstructive coronaries. However, descending thoracic aorta stenosis was noted and found to have a gradient of 60 mmHg across it. Further work up suggests large vessel arteritis. Plan for percutaneous placement of stent graft via right femoral artery access.
