Case and Plan:
68-year-old female referred for renal artery intervention after presenting with resistant hypertension found to have a calcified renal artery stenosis within the left renal artery. Ambulatory blood pressure labile from SBP 160’s – 180’s at home. Unable to further add or uptitrate antihypertensives due to dizziness.

PMHx: Resistant hypertension, IDDMII, dyslipidemia, PAD.

Social Hx: Never smoker

Medications: Amlodipine, Benazepril, HCTZ, Hydralazine, Atorvastatin, Insulin, Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Glucophage
